Better Health Global's Interests

Clinical Practice & Research interests include:
  • Pulmonary Infections.
  • Intensive Care interventions for a variety of critical illnesses.
  • Neglected Tropical Diseases and other Infectious Diseases.
Global collaborations:
  • Continued collaborations with clinics and hospitals in the USA and Ghana.
  • New collaborations in Togo, Gambia and other African countries.
  • Expand collaborations globally.
Expanding medical access to remote & rural areas:
  • Provide clinical care to communities in rural and remote areas.
  • Initiate a Visiting Physicians program. - A team of clinicians interested in volunteering clinical services to areas with limited healthcare access.
Global Health Mentoring Registry.
  • A registry to match interested physician-mentors with the next generation of physician-mentees globally, especially potential talent from under-represented communities.
Global Health Annual Conference
  • Initiate Annual Global Health Conferences where colleagues share knowledge about Global Health matters.
Global Health Distinguished Guest-Speaker program:
  • Initiate guest-speaking opportunities for distinguished clinicians to share knowledge with clinicians and medical school students globally.

Philanthropic projects completed in Ghana in 2023:

Preventative Medicine
  • Provided free health screenings to patients with limited access to healthcare.
  • Provided funding to several patients to help pay for vaccinations & immunizations as needed.
  • Provided health education to patients and families.
  • Provided nutritional and healthy living information to patients and families.

Free Clinics
  • Treated several patients with a myriad of ailments at Free Clinics.
  • Reimbursed several patients for lab work, and for prescription medications.
Resources
  • Provided free healthcare supplies and equipment to several patients (i.e. Blood pressure kits, blood sugar kits, first aid kits, thermometers, etc.)
  • Free healthcare supplies were donated to a few remote Free Clinic centers. (Thermometers, blood pressure kits, gloves, masks, etc.)
  • Reimbursed several patients for food and for transportation to the Free Clinic centers.
